Why BMI Calculation and Interpretation is Important

Adherence is becoming a major issue in the field Turmaslim Review  of Health and Fitness. People starting a new plan often times struggle to stick to the protocol for many reasons. Family crisis, work or illness are some of the reasons people cease to exercise even moderately. There are four things a new plan must have to provide long term success:

It must meet a desire of the participant- this desire could be fat loss, well being, muscle or confidence. It has to be fun-Are there any things outside of our jobs that we do on a regular basis that are not enjoyable to us? The participant must have support- Must have people and professionals that are there to help. Family and friends provide a great deal of that support through encouragement and family activities.

Groups are also a good support system. Boot camps, running clubs, pick up soccer or even shooting a few baskets on a regular occasion. Professional such as Personal Trainers can help motivate and design programs to keep interest and performance high. Health clubs are another good support system. Regular exercisers are creatures of habit and will provide the daily motivation and accountability almost as aggressively as a Trainer.

It provides some change-It could be intrinsic or extrinsic in value.When a plan lacks any of these pieces of the puzzle the exerciser is likely to loose interest and fall off the program. People are 50% likely to fall of an exercise program within the first year of starting. We as professionals must help ensure that plans are structured accordingly and meets long term needs of the participant.
