That’s an old wives tale, my son when he was little had my stick straight blond hair. When he was still very young we had to shave his head due to a particularly resistant to treatment lice that he picked up from his cousin. After his hair grew back in (thank god lice free) it was still stick straight and blonde.

Your hair might change it’s texture slightly due to age, his very thick hair is darker now and has a nice wave to it, my hair is still stick straight, quite thin and my blond is becoming white just like my own dad’s hair, his cousin’s hair is still the “Shirley Temple” ringlets that she has had since birth, We’ve all had haircuts as young children but my son’s was the most extreme and followed his dad’s hair more so than mine. We shall see if his dad’s going “salt and pepper” grey in his twenties happens in the next few years. I’ll keep you posted but I can already tell you it has more to do with genetics than cutting your kid’s hair at a young age.
