Sure, a few extra pounds will probably not harm your body seriously, but if you are more than 20 pounds overweight, you need to seriously lose some weight otherwise you risk doing permanent damage to your body.

So how does one lose abdominal fat without going on crash diets and spending countless hours in the gym?I would honestly like to tell you that there is a quick fix solution to this problem, but I can't. If there was a way to pop a pill and get a six pack, I would be a mega billionaire and everyone would look like a model.

The truth is that you will have to put in some effort if you want to lose weight. You will have to cut down on some of your favorite foods. And you will have to try to workout, even if its for just half an hour.Start off by cutting out all saturated fats from your diet. This includes all deep fried foods such as fries or fried chicken. Instead, replace them with baked food. Trust me, baked fries taste as good as deep fried ones - just give it a shot.

Next, cut down on the amount of salt in your food. Now, salt by itself won't make you fat, but the negative effects of excess sodium in the diet are so many that it becomes imperative that you cut down on it. Most fast food joints are notorious for drowning their food items in salt. So, instead of going to the burger joint for a quick snack, why not head over to the fridge and fix yourself a nice, healthy salad?
