Example-:a urinary catheter, or a sensitive bodily location like the bladder or a wound.
When should Aseptic Techniques be Used?
The following are some examples of when an (Pharma Aseptic Processing )aseptic procedure should be employed, but this list is by no means complete.
- When an intrusive device is inserted,
- When dressing wounds with the primary purpose of healing
- Taking care of deep wounds that lead to a cavity or sinus.
- Procedures requiring little surgery
- Burns
- Wound closure
- IUCD implantation through the vaginal canal
- If the patient is immunocompromised, diabetic, or has a significant infection risk,
