An aseptic approach is utilized to perform a process in such a way that the danger of contamination by an intrusive device is minimized.

Example-:a urinary catheter, or a sensitive bodily location like the bladder or a wound.

When should Aseptic Techniques be Used?

The following are some examples of when an (Pharma Aseptic Processing )aseptic procedure should be employed, but this list is by no means complete.

  • When an intrusive device is inserted,
  • When dressing wounds with the primary purpose of healing
  • Taking care of deep wounds that lead to a cavity or sinus.
  • Procedures requiring little surgery
  • Burns
  • Wound closure
  • IUCD implantation through the vaginal canal
  • If the patient is immunocompromised, diabetic, or has a significant infection risk,
