Namkaran sanskar is a ritual in Hinduism done for a newborn baby at the time of naming the child. A Vedic priests come to home performs the rituals and looks into the times the baby is born and names the kid according to their horoscope. Namkaran ceremony is important for a baby because according to the mythology the name of the baby determines the future life experiences the baby will come across.
