using braided crib bumpers

Has anyone here tried using braided crib bumpers? I’ve seen them all over Pinterest and Instagram, but I’m wondering if they’re actually safe and worth buying or just another pretty trend?

The quality is fantastic, it’s super soft, and it gives the crib a really cozy, finished look. Most importantly my baby sleeps more peacefully now.
