I just acquired a Honda eb 3500 and a Honda ex 3500 (with electric start). Neither generator currently runs but both have good compression and I suspect a fuel problem but I wont know until I start working on them. Both are nearly identical except the em is electric and pull start the eb is pull start only.

hi guys, working on my honda em3500s. it will start and run fine on idle, when i switch the auto idle off (to full rpm) it surges, unless i run it on full choke, then runs perfect. i have cleaned all orfices of carb drained and put fresh gas in tank cleaned "filter" on shut off valve on tank and have scratched my head multiple times increased engine life.
