This is an HTML-ized version of the opcode map for the 8086 processor. It is based on the opcode map from Appendix A of Volume 2 of the Intel Architecture Software Developer's Manual.A plain-text version - easily parsable by software - is also available.. This map was constructed by taking a map for a more recent x86 processor and removing information irrelevant to the (much earlier) 8086 8086 Microprocessor is an enhanced version of 8085Microprocessor that was designed by Intel in 1976. It is a 16-bit Microprocessor having 20 address lines and16 data lines that provides up to 1MB storage. It consists of powerful instruction set, which provides operations like multiplication and RCL memory, immediate REG, immediate memory, CL REG, CL: Rotate operand1 left through Carry Flag. The number of rotates is set by operand2. When immediate is greater then 1, assembler generates several RCL xx, 1 instructions because 8086 has machine code only for this instruction (the same principle works for all other shift/rotate instructions).
