Then there is the infamous belly fat. This is a LumaSlim different type altogether. It is sometimes called toxic fat. Why? Because it contains inflammatory proteins. What do these do? They are responsible for the build up of plaque in your arteries. If your arteries become too blocked up you will eventually suffer a heart attack or stroke. It's easy to see why it is important to get rid of it.
There is another sort of type called visceral fat. This one you can't see. It exists round your major organs like your heart, liver and kidneys. It is perfectly possible for a thin person to have a lot of this type. We should normally have about 1liter (or just over two pints) of this sort of that inside us. However, some people have been found to have up to six or seven times that amount.
Visceral fat can increase your risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes. People who are overweight or obese are more likely to have more of this visceral variety, but interestingly people who don't consider themselves to be overweight, but don't lead a particularly healthy lifestyle, are likely to have this bad type too.
Losing weight has become a complex phenomenon, it's not as simple as asking your neighbor "what did you do to lose that weight" anymore, in fact, many times we don't even know how we gained the weight in the first place. With all the information regarding weight loss swarming us from every angle, whether it's from the TV, radio, or billboard poster how do we choose what the best weight loss program is for us?
