Although I have a high amount of respect for Razer products (I have owned and still do own many of them) their keyboards are sub-par. You pay too much for a Blackwidow when you could happily have something of higher quality for less. Although you don't HAVE to go for a mechanical keyboard for gaming I would highly recommend you do. Not only will you improve your overall gaming experience but you will most likely learn to type more efficiently. If you can try and get down to your local computer store and see if they have any mechanical keyboards available for testing. A plus point with mechanical keyboards is that the keys don't need to be pressed down all of the way to register the press. On my black switches mechanical it's only half way. It's strange to get used to this but once you do you will really enjoy it and hate to go back to membrane keyboard.
