A plumber is an individual who specialize in maintaining and installing systems utilized for sewage and water drainage in residential plumbing systems, and for potable water in commercial plumbing systems. He is also responsible for repairing any damage caused by leaks, like pipe blocks, broken pipes, bursting pipes, cracked pipes, etc. The plumber must be licensed and certified by the local or state board. In most areas of the US, a plumber must be registered with the local Better Business Bureau as well, to ensure that he has not been in any legal dispute with a customer, and that his customer service record is clean. A plumber's license is also needed if he wishes to install any kind of heating system in a home.
