How can I move my piano from my parents' house to my new apartment and not pay a fortune for it? I know the piano is heavy, but it doesn't take up much space and I don't need  all space in van for that. Why should I pay in full for a service that I partially  use?

Unfortunately, transporting heavy or oversized items or furniture has always been expensive, so there is no way to do this for free if you don't have the right size van. But you have chance to get quality piano movers service and pay fair price for it. I know that on the wisemove website you can get big quota for the services of moving company or find another user who, like you, needs to transport something that doesn't take up the whole place and you both have the same route or addresses are nearby. so you can share this service with him. I'm sure this will help you save money and get your piano at your home. In any case, you should try to do this.
