How to successfully pass an online interview and get a job? This is the first time I will be interviewing using a video call. Perhaps someone here has more experience with this and can give me some good advice?
I'm not sure if I'm well versed in what kind of psychological tricks you can use to wow an interviewer, but I'm sure you will find many such tips on job search sites or specialized on this blogs, but I can give you some really effective technical tips. First, make sure that you and your background, which will be visible on the video, match the business communication. Nothing is more annoying than the clutter in the background when talking to colleagues or strangers in the room when you're talking about serious topics. Second, be sure to find and to test speaker, microphone, and webcam that you will need for your video interviews. So, my third advice is to practice speaking to the camera. Sometimes it really matters.
