One of the main tasks of writing an essay can be considered persuading or encouraging the reader. When an author decides to sit down for an online class king, it means that he or she wants to either raise some problem or show that the solution he or she proposes is the right one. Even if the essay in question is not an impulse of the soul, but an assignment from a teacher, either way it comes down to these problems.

The question of where to start writing an essay has a clear answer: with a plan. Let's assume that a plan is already in place - then a new difficulty arises. It is how to start writing the text itself, with what words to start the essay.

An essay is not an essay, and it is not addressed to an unprepared reader. Therefore, phrases like: "I want to talk about ...", "Today we will talk about ..." can be omitted. There is no need to overload the essay with unnecessary introductory phrases.

In fact, there are no clear guidelines on how to start an essay correctly. This is not an article for Wikipedia, which should be designed according to a template.

The author is free in how to write the introduction - but it should interest the reader, outline to him the problem, which the text is devoted to.

Examples of writing an introduction to an essay:

• "Contrary to the belief that Internet addiction is a problem unique to teenagers, studies by the Psychological Aid Association have shown a prevalence of this addiction among 30-35 year olds."
• "Although Russians actively use credit, the Financial Markets Supervisory Association notes a very low level of financial literacy among the population."

The next 2-3 sentences should reveal the first introductory phrase, while bringing the reader to the main body of the text.

What is an essay and how to write one: illustrative examples of writing

The preparation of the introduction does not end with the problems in writing an essay. After the introduction, it is necessary to formulate thesis statements and select arguments for the main part.

Tips for proper essay writing:

• Take your time.
• Don't put off your work until the last moment. Downloading a ready-made essay from the web in a couple of minutes is unlikely to work.
• Brainstorm. Just write down on a piece of paper all the ideas about your problem.
• Sampling. Now take your scribbled sheet of paper in your hands and pick apart the arguments you will use.
• Structuring. Usually the main idea of each paragraph is one thesis that is revealed and supported.
• Documentation. If possible, use official documents or articles that support your point of view.
• Try to make the last sentence of each paragraph a transition to a new argument.

These essay writing rules will be suitable for texts touching on any issue. The final part should summarize what you have written in the main body. How to write conclusions:

• Conclusions should address the issues outlined in the introduction.
• Conclusions should be based on the theses discussed in the main part. Conclusions should not introduce new, unproven thesis statements.
• Conclusions should be brief.
• Conclusions should not repeat the sentences of the main part verbatim.
• The essay has a more artistic character than other types of student papers, so you should not use formulaic phrases (such as "I have come to the following conclusions", "Based on the above, the following conclusions can be drawn").
